Wheel weight is the most important weight on a bike, and tire weight is the most important weight on a wheel. It’s all because of the moment of inertia. Without going much into the details: the lighter the tire, the easier it is to perform absolutely anything. The Wolfgrip tire composition includes a race compound — one of the most technologically advanced and expensive rubber compounds on the market. This compound has two main characteristics that distinguish it from other tires: extremely low weight and the highest wear resistance. The Wolfgrip tire weighs 490 grams (17.3 oz) with a Kevlar cord and 595 grams (21 oz) with a steel one, which is one of the best tire specs on the market.

Grip is equally important for having a comfortable ride. Thanks to the race compound, the Wolfgrip tire maintains its traction even after the knurling is completely erased. However, it will not be that easy to erase the knurling on our tire.

Under the Wolfgrip tread, a lightweight anti-puncture layer made using COBWEB technology is integrated. This technology provides fantastic puncture protection while keeping the tire weight low. Low weight is obtained due to the fact that the layer is used only in those spots where it is needed, and not over the entire surface of the tire.

There is a sidewall protector rib on the Wolfgrip tire. With this scuff rib, the tire engages with the ledges when performing grind tricks, and does not catch any bumps with its tread. Additionally, the Wolfgrip sidewalls are made of a stiffer rubber than the top to avoid tears and cuts from sharp ledges.
